This project, certified by the United Nations, involves the regeneration of degraded lands through reforestation activities. These lands are owned by poor farmers and tribal communities in India which do not have the capacity to replant without external financial support and technical guidance. The project covers about 15,000 hectares of land owned by 12,000 farmers.

The deforestation of the Amazon is a serious environmental problem that affects us globally. Cutting down or burning forests is one of the main sources of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. The objective of this project, in collaboration with the Federation of Chestnut Growers of Madre de Dios in the Amazon region of Peru, is the protection of 500,000 hectares of land to improve the living conditions of the local people and the value of their forests by implementing a surveillance system that will allow early detection of deforestation risks.

Corals are a key element in the balance of marine ecosystems. It is currently estimated that more than 30% of the coral cover has been lost due to the White Syndrome disease, an amount comparable to the deterioration suffered by the coral reefs over the last 40 years. As a drastic and urgent response to this unavoidable problem, we will create the Noah's Ark of the Corals, a germplasm bank for the protection of scleractinian coral species in the Mexican Caribbean.

GET INVOLVED IN THE FIGHT FOR A GREEN FUTURE FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

If we want to preserve the survival of all living beings, we must set out solutions that contribute to mitigate climate change, the protection of endangered ecosystems and the promotion of eco-sustainable behaviors.

With small contributions we can create a thriving and respectful future for Nature and save the beauty of our planet. It requires daily individual actions, a change in consumption habits, a greater awareness and also, that our economic efforts are channeled towards the initiatives that generate the most positive impact.

It is crucial to know the different threats we are facing, as they cover different aspects of our lives, and cause a direct impact on the environment.

CLIMATE CHANGE

Global greenhouse gas emissions are causing an increase in land and sea temperatures in more than 2 degrees Celsius, this circumstance will accelerate the melting of Arctic and Antarctic ice, causing a chain reaction of unpredictable proportions on the planet balance. Scientists predict we only have 12 years to revert this serious situation. Life on Earth will definitely depend our efforts, otherwise the fourth mass extinction is on its way.

PLASTIC WASTE

8 million tons of plastics reach our oceans each year, along with the approximately 150 million tons currently moving around in our marine environments. This entails great harm for the balance of ocean ecosystems, and endangers more than 700 species.

BIODIVERSITY DECREASE

The latest research indicate that one million species are currently endangered. These include one in every four mammals, one in every eight birds, a third of all amphibians, and 70% of land and marine plants.

DEFORESTATION

Deforestation activities are causing the loss of 7.5 million hectares of forest per year, which equals 27 football fields per minute, due to agriculture, livestock raising, the illegal forest logging market and urbanization. The most affected region is the Amazon Rainforest, with a loss of 17% of forest in the last 50 years

LITTLE ACTIONS MADE BY MANY PEOPLE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD

Hopefully, it is still possible to mitigate the damage if we take immediate action. Every day new ideas and projects are born throughout the world aiming to find alternative solutions to these problems, inspiring a structural change of the productive environment, gentle with nature, and respecting the natural balance of the planet. Little actions can help mitigate climate change and improve living conditions on the planet for all species.
